Save From Oblivion. Preserve for Future Generations

On August 21, at the SENS bookstore in Kyiv, the joint cultural project by watch brand KLEYNOD, fashion brand POLONETS, and the NGO World Vyshyvanka Day was presented: “Luhansk Region. Occupied Heritage – To Save from Oblivion, To Preserve for Descendants.”

The project’s mission is to preserve and loudly affirm the authentic Ukrainian culture of Luhansk region, which has always been an integral part of Ukraine despite constant threats of erasure or distortion.

The presentation gathered public figures, diplomats, artists, designers, and researchers, and featured a panel discussion on key questions: how to present Luhansk not as “lost,” but as a living culture; how regional embroidery can prove identity; and how traditions can thrive beyond museum showcases.

A central highlight was the unveiling of the project “Luhansk Region – Preserved Heritage,” which includes a limited series of KLEYNOD watches decorated with reconstructed embroidery ornaments (“ZORIA” and “RUZHA”) and the POLONETS fashion collection inspired by traditional attire of the region.

The event emphasized the importance of safeguarding Ukraine’s cultural code and became a strong voice of Luhansk region that cannot be silenced.
